PATIENT EDUCATION:

Patient education is a large component of our interventions here at Fitness and Rehabilitation. Your physical therapist is aware that your understanding of the condition and of ways to reduce and manage pain has a great impact on your recovery.

You will be provided with instructions and explanations throughout the course of your treatment. Your physical therapist utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach to help you become aware of your condition, movement patterns, posture and body mechanics, risk factors, and symptom management and prevention techniques. Home exercise programs and educational handouts will be provided to you for short and long term benefits.
