PAIN MANAGEMENT:

Pain Management physical therapy services are provided to individuals living with chronic pain. Chronic pain, characterized as pain that lasts more than 12 weeks, is a serious problem among all individuals especially those 65 years of age and older. It often leads to progressive loss of physical, functional, and psychological health.

Chronic pain can be exhausting and often leads to low physical activity and progressive disability (pain-disability cycle). This vicious cycle contributes to progressive psychological distress or depression, fear of physical activity, loss of function, and subsequent exacerbation of pain.
