Oana Balasa
Owner, Doctor of Physical Therapy
Oana Balasa (pronounced Wana) received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Russell Sage College, her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University, Personal Training and Corrective Exercise Specialist certification from the National Association of Sports Medicine and Certified Professional Life Coaching Certification from Christian Coaching Institute.

A personal participation in the Romanian professional gymnastics regimen and as a circus acrobat helped Oana gain added perspective of the human body and a keen awareness - and sympathy - of the possibility of increasing effects that injury and dysfunction may have on the whole body and all aspects of daily living.

Oana has 27 years of experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting with patients of all ages including, the Geriatric population, with various Neuromusculoskeletal Dysfunctions.

Her focus is on evaluating and treating each individual as a whole, rather than focusing on one body part. She designs interventions that support her expertise and address each patients’ personal needs and goals. Through each session, Oana uses manual therapy, including integrated neuromuscular inhibition / facilitation techniques, combined with corrective exercises and life coaching. Her desire is to help patients experience short and long term benefits.
